On February 14 everything is red, romance, roses, and … chocolate. Don’t forget the chocolate. It’s a fun holiday that encourages displays of affection, love, devotion, and friendship through messages and gifts. Why not display your affection to your Valentine with the gift of comfort from Blue Frost Heating & Cooling this year?
Why Should You Consider Giving the Gift of Comfort this Valentine’s Day?
Guys, be careful here. We’re not suggesting you give your sweetheart a new furnace instead of the usual diamonds, flowers, or chocolates for Valentine’s Day! Brushing Cupid’s promptings aside could land you in the dog house if you have one. However, a new heating system from Blue Frost Heating & Cooling would keep those you love warm and comfortable all season long. This gift of comfort would remind them of your love and care daily. And we think comfort equals love, of course!
When Did this Whole Valentine’s Day Thing Start Anyway?
“On the eve of his death Valentinus wrote a last note to Julia, urging her to stay close to God. He signed it, ‘From your Valentine.’ His sentence was carried out the next day, February 14, 270 A.D., near a gate that was later named Porta Valentini in his memory. He was buried at what is now the Church of Praxedes in Rome. It is said that Julia planted a pink-blossomed almond tree near his grave. Today, the almond tree remains a symbol of abiding love and friendship. On each February 14, Saint Valentine’s Day, messages of affection, love, and devotion are exchanged around the world.” https://www.olrl.org/lives/valentine.shtml
Yes, you could plant a pink-blossomed almond tree as a symbol of abiding love and friendship as Julia did in Valentinus’ memory. That would be a terribly romantic gesture. But we think giving the gift of comfort would earn those coveted Brownie points time and again all year long. What a really great idea!
