Clean your gutters

It’s also a good idea to invest in extenders to keep water draining at least a few feet from your home. While you are at it, make sure that none of the gutters are loose or leaking. Repair Cracks In Walls Or The Paint

Cold winter weather can harden and crack the caulk around your windows and doors. Taking the time to re–caulk these areas can help you save money and make your home more energy efficient. It is advisable to check around exterior windows for signs of caulk that may need repair

Fill low areas near foundation with compacted soil – If you have areas near the foundation of your home where the yard dips, it may help to fill them with soil. This can prevent water from pooling near your home, and reduce the risk of flooding.
